Ok, just a few more pictures from our trip to the Midwest and I promise I'll blog about stuff a bit closer to the present! I've just been looking back at all these snowy pictures and marveling and being reminded about how much I love Chicago.

The snow had begun to fall by the time we headed home on Monday night:
It was really coming down by Tuesday afternoon, but we decided to bundle up and go visit our friends anyway. It was quite an adventure! Here are Scott and Eric just down the street from Scott and Hilary's place:

When we got home that night, the guys took Voof out in the backyard to play in the fluff. Boy was she excited!
Wednesday morning, when our first flight was scheduled. Nope, not flying today.
It just kept coming down!
If you look closely, you'll see the car "parked" in the middle of the street.
By Thursday morning, tons of folks were out shoveling, taking pictures and even cross-country skiing down the middle of the street!
Doesn't everyone plan to do some shoveling on their vacation?

We finally flew out on Thursday night, but missed our connecting flight in Dallas, where it had started snowing like crazy. Of course it did! Here's a shot out our hotel window:
We finally got home on Friday night and, though we enjoyed experiencing real winter, we're happy to be done with it for a while! I never thought I'd miss the rain so much!
