Spokonklins

Here we are in Chewelah again, just an hour north of Spokane but far away from anything but this toasty house and quiet roads to walk. Instead of an 8-hour (or more!) drive on potentially dangerous roads along the gorge and through the endless rolling expanse of eastern Washington, we hopped on a quick one-hour flight, then made the short drive to Nannie and Pops' place for a post-Christmas Christmas.

Emerson was Santa again.  Did you know that Santa can also help you open your gifts?

Chew-friendly family album from Scott and Hillary:

Christmas cookies anyone?

A round of our now-favorite game, Telestrations.  You should get it.  Sooo hilarious.

Auggie had a few bites of sweet potato, his first food that was not mama's milk. The jury is still out.  Actually, it's not.  He was not a fan.

Ready for a trip into town.

For Chinese food! Some of the best I've had.  And the decor is...unique.

A little bit of nakey dancing before Auggie's bath. A little bit of nakey dancing does a person good.

More pictures coming soon! Merry Christmas to you!

Auggie's December

Exploring the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland on a coooold Saturday afternoon before my roller derby class (!!!!!).

Hi Papa.

Helping to clean out the drawer of cords.

Hanging out with some of his buds and my mamas group.

Getting his first Christmas tree.

Joining (most of) our Sunday evening group for a Christmas tea.

Sucking on his lower lip. I call him "Beeker" when he looks like this.

Looking a tad pitiful with his first real cold.

Shopping at Thrift City, the new thrift store in our town.  We were deciding between these two travel play yards when we realized that they were both 75% off their (already cheap) original prices.  We got both for $20 and have to decide which to keep and which to pass along.

Auggie loves his new toy, also from Thrift City, though he mainly tries to put the whole thing in his mouth.

He is his papa's son.

Playing Baby Jesus in the church Christmas play.  Thankfully, he ate just before and slept peacefully while the animals cheeped and brayed.

Still out.

Loving his new-to-him walker from a sweet mama from my group.

Hanging out on papa's lap before church. Definitely one of his favorite places to be.
