Visitantes

We had some wonderful guests come yesterday. Our good friend Adan, who I'd gotten to know very well during our time in Woodburn (our first stretch in Oregon), had moved back to Guerrero, Mexico not long after we moved back to Chicago. A year or so later, he returned with his wife and son and has been living in Fresno, California since then. About a month ago, he came north with some friends to work in the Woodburn area for a short bit and we were finally able to connect.

Adan (in the middle) drove the hour from Woodburn with another Adan, Juan Carlos, and Faustino and we had such a fun time hanging out!

We playd catch under the pine trees in the yard, walked through the labyrinth garden, ate lots of local berries, looked at pictures, and just sat around and talked and laughed. Adan shared that his wife is expecting their second child and they'll find out this week if it's a boy or a girl! He is working extra hard to prepare.

Eric made two amazing meals while they were here--vegetarian tacos with eggs and TVP (texturized vegetable protein) for dinner last night and blueberry pancakes for breakfast this morning.

It was so great to see Adan and Juan Carlos (who had also lived in Woodburn while we were there) and to meet Adan and Faustino before they head back to California. Such great guys!
