This hour with no electricity was good for the earth and a gift to us. By candlelight, Eric read for his Matthew Bible study and I prepared books and cards for our friends' baby shower the next day. And we ate ice cream!
It felt so peaceful. I think I'd like to try it more often. Now if only we knew how to turn off the church's ridiculously bright security light that blasts into our house each night....
